Over 100 Quilts of Valor were displayed on Wednesday, December 5, at Valparaiso University’s Chapel.  It took my breath away when I walked into the Chapel and saw the sun streaming through the windows onto the quilts.  When the sun went down, the beautiful chandliers cast a soft warm glow on the sea of red, white and blue.

Today, Saturday, December 8, the 94 Quilts of Valor were presented to the members of the Indiana National Guard – 713th Engineer Company based in Valparaiso.  A Vietnam veteran and a WWII veteran also received his own Quilt of Valor.
Before the presentation several of the men asked “Is everyone getting a quilt?”  When we replied “Yes”, they were a bit surprised and very happy.   ‘Thank You’s’ are out there on social media too.  I believe they all appreciate their quilts.
